I attended the Award's Banquet tonight and I
received the Five Year Merit Award. There were
ten of us altogether. This is the 20th anniversary
of the Colored Pencil Society. The founder, Vera
Curnow, gave us a history of the organization from
the beginnings till now, and it was quite informative.
The society has grown, and with it the reputation of
colored pencil as a fine art medium.
It will be interesting to see the exhibit tomorrow and
view the award winners in person.
