New Orleans Frame-Up

I finished up some framing for a customer over
the weekend.  This is a Jazz Fest Poster
from New Orleans.  I really like the wonderful
colors and style of this one.

This is her other print, called "Post Mardi Gras Magnolia."
After the parades in New Orleans, there are always beads
left hanging in the trees.  This artist has captured the whole
idea very well!

For your custom framing needs, just call us
or bring it by.  I enjoy helping customers pick out the perfect
mat and frame.  We have lots of moldings and mats
available, from formal to rustic, and everything in between.

Duck Tape

Inside the back of the shadowbox...having to take it apart.

Where the print slipped...see how it is off in the corner.

After I taped it back, I used the point driver gun to
put the backing back on

Checking to make sure there is not lint under the glass, etc

Re-attaching the certificate to the back of the shadowbox

And the finished project waiting to be picked up.

I don't talk about all the framing I do very much.  But this time of year, I do
A LOT!  I thought some of you might like this piece.  It is the newly released
limited edition duck print sponsored by the Duck Commander group.
It was brought to me already in the shadowbox...I did not do that part of the
frame.  It was shipped to the customer, and the print had slipped away
from the mat.  So, I had to undo the entire shadowbox, re-tape the print,
and then put it all back together.
I have done shadowboxes before...mostly for brides with their keepsakes.
They are very time consuming and tedious.  I was glad I did not have
to do this one....just fix it!

Black, Red, and Tiger Stripes

Finished framing this today.  It was done by a customer who
painted it at a palette party

This was done by her daughter, and she wanted
it framed as well

A father brought this in, and found it among his son's things.
The son passed away recently, and he wanted to frame it.
bittersweet....

I had to mat this today for the LSU Ag department for an art auctionl.
It is a pencil drawing print of the Texas AM yell leaders

I also received my original tiger drawing back from the CPSA show
in Kentucky.  I have it displayed with the two tiger prints I now have
available at the shop.

This print is titled, "Majesty"...the unmatted ones are $45, the matted ones are
$65, and the large prints are $125

This is the "Rolling in the Deep" print, too.   They are the
same price as the others.

I spent the day framing and matting a lot of work at the gallery.  Saturdays
are great days to get caught up!  There are always stories with each framing
case.  It is always fun to see what customers bring in, and sometimes, it is
sad.  I am happy to get to help them preserve their memories and treasured
artwork.

The tiger prints are now available for sale.  They would make great gifts
for Winnfield or LSU fans.  I can also custom frame them if needed.
Call the gallery or email me if interested.

A little of This, A little of That

Giclee print of some Narcissus in Pots   The original was sold several years
ago.  I sold this print in the gallery this week.  Someone bought it as a gift
for a friend.

8 x 8 trivet printed with my design!
These came in today...very excited.

The other trivet design...along with the original painting that
inspired it!

Birdhouse scripture photo     This was framed and sold to a couple that
lost their house to a tornado a little over a year ago.

This is a watercolor that I did years ago.  A customer brought it in,
and wanted it framed.  It is ready to go!

And this is the progress I made on this drawing tonight...still a long way
to go.

Busy day today...I sold some artwork/framed some more/ unpacked
the finished trivets that were received today/ and worked on this
drawing tonight.  And helped serve lunch!
Hope you had a great and productive day as well.

I have also contacted all of the CPSA members in the state (
only 11 of us!) to see if we can get together for a meeting.  I have offered
to hold an exhibit at the gallery of all of our work...should
be really cool.  I hope I hear from all of them soon.

8 x 8 Trivets  $24.95
