A Double Hit!!

Wow...what a great time in Texas!  I have been in Clifton, Texas
for the 31st Bosque Art Center juried show.  What a beautiful place.
It is housed in the old Clifton College building.  And the Arts Council
is very active, and doing a great job!
The banquet was held on Saturday night, and it was exciting!  My
piece, "Not So Angry Bird" won the Silver medal in Drawing!!!
Wow, what an honor...I am shocked!  There were some
fabulous pieces in this show.  And then...it SOLD!!!
That hasn't happened in a long time (only once before!).
To God be the glory for His goodness in giving
me this talent.  May I always use it to glorify Him!

The Alamo Almost Finished

I am still working on some "Texas" things for the
Arizona client.  He has a contract to sell some products in the
gift shop at the Alamo, and he wants an image to use on some
things.  I just sent this to him...I have to know which flag to use,
if he wants a cannon, and what color to make the sky?  Seems like some
"nit picky" details, but I don't want to do something, and then have
to do it over!  Hopefully, we are close on this one.

New Braunfels Fun

There is a small town north of San Antonio named
New Braunfels,  It is a German heritage town,
and very quaint.  It has many little shops, and several with
lots of junk!  I stopped here on my way back to
Louisiana today, and picked up a few neat things.

When I was in high school, I took German as my
foreign language.  Our teacher was so much fun, and he
took us on field trips to this town
during the Oktoberfest every year.  He taught us to
do the German polka and the lyrics to some of
the German folk songs...so there
were also lots of fun memories today among
all the nice junk!
