It's all in a Name

Oh, the blessings of family!  I am a "great Aunt" again, thanks to my
niece and her husband, and their new baby boy, Zane.  She asked me if I
would paint a sign for the baby's room with the meaning of his name.
I finished this fun project this afternoon.  It is painted in acrylic paint on
canvas in shades of pale blue, white and grey.

I will get it shipped out tomorrow and on its' way to Texas.
I hope to see baby Zane sometime soon!

Brand New Baby Sign

Sign of the Times: 

 I finished this little canvas tonight as a gift,
ordered by a customer as a baby gift.  The bedding has lots of pink
checks and gingham.  They are also using some lime green and teal.
So, I hope the sign is a hit!

And if you would like something similar, just let me know.  I can do names,
words, sayings, etc. on canvas or wood.  Prices are reasonable.

Coffee Anyone?

Here I go again...painting one of these Community Coffee signs.
 

The customer saw it on this blog, and ordered one. 

I assembled the weathered boards, which I cut with a jigsaw.
I connected them on the back with brackets, and then added
a Masonite backing.  I started painting it tonight, and
will continue to work on the letters this week.  I should
be finished in a couple of days.

Printed Paintings

I have a friend who paints the cutest things!  She sells painted buckets,
boxes, and all kinds of things.  I did some printing for her this week of
these two designs.  She will collage them onto a painted board that
will hang with ribbon, and then she will personalize them.  Too
cute!  Good luck with them Cyndi...I hope you sell lots!

One of my favorites!

We got all these signs in this week, and decided to put them outside on the deck.
They are spread across the back wall.  These are hand painted on recycled tin
recovered from buildings and barns by the company, Blackwater Folk Art, out of
Florida.  I met them at market in Dallas, and they are a really neat family business.
I love the "facebook" sign...so true!  Most of these are $18.99 - $21.99.  They would
make a great gift, from birthday to hostess to secret pal.  Come by and
check them out...I am sure there will be one that will "float your boat"!
