If the Creeks Don't Rise

Near our home is a little woodland creek.  Because of the
recent rains, there is water in it!  Thought I would walk down
late today and take a look.(There is a brown lizard in
this photo;  if you can find it, and tell me where it is,
you will get a free dessert in the cafe!)

I saw these on the way.  These are blackberry vines...
there will be lots of juicy berries sometime
in June.  Time to make some blackberry cobbler...yum

And of course, Huey, Dewey, and Louie had to come with me.
(that is not the order they are in!)  Huey is in the back, and Louie is
in the lead.

When it does rain really hard and fast, this little creek
really rises.  The rushing water erodes the banks
away from these roots.  It makes some interesting
patterns.

These ferns grow wild all along the banks in the shade.  I wish
I could get them to grow in my yard!

When we got back, Huey was tired.

Louie was tired too!

I really enjoy being outside, and we have had some beautiful weather this week.  I hope it is nice where you are, and you can get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and the "re-birth" of the
earth.

"I would have despaired unless I had
believed that I would see the goodness
of the Lord in the land of the living"
Psalm 27:13

New Year Bucket List

The sun finally came out today, after a stormy Christmas day.  It
lit up these white poinsettias by the window...thought you might
enjoy them.
I am reading a little book I received.  It is titled: More Than a
Bucket List, by Toni Birdsong.  I have been interested in my
own bucket list for years.  This little book, however, deals with
dreams, passions, and faith, and how you can better yourself
and achieve goals in these areas of your life...thus crossing these
off your "bucket list" as well.

"You'd have a hard time proving this, but most of us agree that the
older we get, the faster time seems to speed by. As our time on earth
gets shorter, the list of promises we make to ourselves tends to get
longer.  This book will encourage you to view these accomplishments
from God's point of view and to make your bucket list matter
eternally along the way.  With each page, the dream inside you will
be drawn out-the higher dream of what God has purposed for you."
Toni Birdsong

so as the new year approaches, I will be adding some things
to my list...hopefully improving my character along the way!

Product Display

I am continuing to get in products that I am having
manufactured with my designs. Here is another canvas
scripture photo and the matching note cards.  The canvases
are 11 x 14, gallery wrapped, and sell for $60.00.
The note cards (4 x 6) come in sets of 4 with envelopes,
and sell for $10.00.   These two products will be available
at the gallery, and after I attend the wholesale gift market
in Dallas in January, hopefully in a
gift store near you!
I call this line, "Glory Bee Graphics", and I will have
several designs in the line.  You can see many of them in
the gallery now, and several more by
Open House on November 8th.
Thanks for your support!

Cats in the Mist

I had always heard that as you age, you sleep less.  Well, anyone who
knows me, knows that I am usually up very late at night, and never up early
in the morning.  But lately, I have been waking up early in the
morning...so early in fact, I have seen the sunrise a few times!
inconceivable!
This morning was beautiful, and I was able to go outside with
the camera and the cats, and take a few shots.  It is starting to get
foggy in the mornings now, and the Fall is one of my favorite times
of year.  Enjoy!
