Watching the sun set is one of my very favorite things to do. I am fascinated with the ever-changing sky...the patterns in the clouds, the colors, sun rays, the peacefulness. Tonight's sky was especially beautiful. One of my good friends says that I am always "chasing sunsets" wherever I happen to be. Today, I just had to walk out my back door. | Near our home is a little woodland creek. Because of the recent rains, there is water in it! Thought I would walk down late today and take a look.(There is a brown lizard in this photo; if you can find it, and tell me where it is, you will get a free dessert in the cafe!) |

| I saw these on the way. These are blackberry vines... there will be lots of juicy berries sometime in June. Time to make some blackberry cobbler...yum |

| When it does rain really hard and fast, this little creek really rises. The rushing water erodes the banks away from these roots. It makes some interesting patterns. |

| These ferns grow wild all along the banks in the shade. I wish I could get them to grow in my yard! |

| Louie was tired too! I really enjoy being outside, and we have had some beautiful weather this week. I hope it is nice where you are, and you can get outdoors and enjoy the sunshine and the "re-birth" of the earth. | When I was out and about today, I took some pics of some azaleas...wild and domestic. The wild ones grow along a creek near our house. I always look forward to seeing them in the spring. They look like "dancing ladies" or "ballerinas". The hot pink azalea at the bottom is a typical one found here in the South. The late freeze this year really put a damper on some of the blooms, but these managed to show out! sheltongail@hotmail.com |

| I have been watching the bluebirds in the yard, and I managed to get a few good pics of them yesterday and this morning. I have several birdhouses, and they use them every spring. And successfully, I see, by the young bird out on his own this morning. I spotted him on the branch, and his mother came once and gave him a tidbit. He was content to stay right there, and I was glad, because I had 3 very active cats wandering around my legs, watching me take photos. It would have turned into a scene from "Wild Kingdom"...survival of the fittest! I'm glad the baby bird lived to see another day. Hopefully, I will see him again. I have hung all of the "bird" art in the gallery, and will have an opening soon. I am going to print up some small prints of these bluebirds, too. I am continuing to get in products that I am having manufactured with my designs. Here is another canvas scripture photo and the matching note cards. The canvases are 11 x 14, gallery wrapped, and sell for $60.00. The note cards (4 x 6) come in sets of 4 with envelopes, and sell for $10.00. These two products will be available at the gallery, and after I attend the wholesale gift market in Dallas in January, hopefully in a gift store near you!
