Wagon Box Classroom

We drove out to the Wagon Box Ranch

for the high school mentoring program

this morning. It was a few miles out of

town, and a great place to draw and paint.

Most of the students were paired with an oil

painter, and they set up all over the ranch.

This is Alex, and he was interested in drawing.

His teacher had him bring along an old pack

saddle as our subject. We found an old fence

and barn, and set up to draw and paint it. He did

very well, and I hope he learned something!
