The island was the home to pirates
in the past (some may argue it is
still true today!) There are
several shipwrecks (maybe
full of treasure) just offshore.
The reef that is to the south of
the island offers protection
from some of the storms, but proved
deadly to wooden ships. This
replica of an old pirate ship is
in the harbor, moored there
along with multi-million dollar
yachts.
